Basic Bolognaise

I could make this recipe with my eyes closed and so can you – it is such a great go to and go with everything kind of dish and you can use up and/or substitute loads of these ingredients depending on what you have in the fridge or what needs eating up. Feel free. Throw caution to the wind, Throw some of anything in there. You truly cannot muck this one up. Put it on brown rice pasta. Pour it over a sweet potato. Top it with mash. There are truly no limits to this little beauty that is totally allergy friendly and the whole family will love – allergies or not. Oh and double everything and freeze if you’re batch cooking.

Basic Bolognaise
Servings
Ingredients
  • 250 gm organic beef mince
  • 1 clove garlic crushed
  • 1 large white onion chopped
  • 2 T tomato puree
  • 2 tins organic chopped tomatoes
  • vegetables (carrots, peppers, courgette, aubergine) whatever you have, whatever’sseason, whatever your crew likes! Chop them small but not so small the kids can’t identify them – so important to know what they’re eating, where it comes from and that they love it so when you serve it up a different way they don’t see it as weird, scary or new.
